We have updated our policy on providing sickness certificates for local university student patients. This is in line with the University of Exeter student health practice:

We will write, only at your request, a confidential memo to your department documenting your illness if you have been absent for more than seven days.

Shorter absences should be reported directly to your department via the department secretary. The exception is when you cannot attend an exam because of illness, in this case you should contact us immediately for advice and certification.

We will also write to your department, at your request, if longstanding illnesses impair your academic performance without actually necessitating absence from your course.

The practice will aim to complete the work within 21 days from receipt of instruction.
